Shidokan in the World
Shidokan,
literally translated, means "The group that lives and trains in the way of the samurai warrior."
A martial art of the 21st Century, Shidokan roots date back to hundreds of years to it's Okinawan ancestors. Suffice it is
to say, Shidokan is an eclectic combination of Kyokushinkai, Thai Boxing and Grappling.
Founder: Kancho Yoshiji Soeno
Kancho Soeno began his martial
arts training in Japan in Judo, Wado-ryu, Kendo, Kick Boxing and Kyokushinkai. He studied with acclaimed master Masutatsu
Oyama for many years and emerged as one of his best students, earning the nickname “The Kyokushin Tiger".
